Metro rail development in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad is moving on a jet-set speed. As per early estimates, 21 percent of work is completed, hinting a good physical progress of the work.
This was communicated via written replay to Parliament by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The ministry asserted that progress is far better than other metro projects taking place across the country.
It was in December 2016 that Pune Metro was launched. It is commendable to note that around 21 percent of civil work has been completed in about 19 months. Work has been progressing well in two Metro corridors — Vanaz to Ramwadi —PCMC to Swargate covering a distance of 32.25 km. Read More
