New Delhi 21st August,2019: 3rd World Water Summit and 10th World Renewable Energy Technology Conference”, a three day long expo and conference which will be continued till 23rd August,2019 was organised by Energy and Environment foundation at NDMC Convention Centre, Parliament Street, New Delhi with the support of the Union Ministry of Water Resources and the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy respectively where “Mr Upendra Tripathy” (Interim Director General of Solar Alliance) acted as the chief guest and inaugurated the mega event and gave out the Global Excellence Awards 2019 for the Renewable Energy Sector to the respective awardees.

Many parts of the country face acute water shortage and some parts are witnessing floods. India needs innovative solutions to deal with its water crisis. To put a check on unmindful exploitation of natural resources and to adopt the best solutions to conserve them this three-day mega event has been organised. Rapid exploitation of these natural resources have already lead to many problems like global warming, shortage of water, melting of glaciers etc. Therefore, the event focused on synergies between water security and economic prosperity, finance and technology to deliver water solutions for both industries and utilities. The 3rd World Water Summit concentrated on the theme-“Clean and Safe Drinking Water to All”.

The summit brought the collective intelligence of stakeholders, exchange knowledge, latest technologies and also the acumen of visionary speakers in an effort to catalyze collaboration between the public and private water, utilities, technology providers, financers, industrial end-users, associations in addition to water, agriculture-food-beverage and sanitation agencies. The concurrent conference the 10th World Renewable Energy Technology Congress focused on ‘Renewable Energy Solution for a Sustainable Future.’ New technologies (green technology) and innovative solutions in water management, solar energy and other renewable sources were showcased with the medium of an exhibition. Over 100 CEOs and top officials of the companies and 400 National and International experts, policymakers, venture capitalists and researchers, National and International representatives, policy makers, strategic investors, demonstrators and students have participated in this mega event.

The experts united at one platform regarding renewable energy solutions for the future of the upcoming generations. During this, information was provided to the audience in terms of renewable energy technology, electric utilities and transmission, organic energy, organic fuels and renewable materials. “Today the solar energy can compete with any kind of other energy, the solar energy could be divided into two spectrums of heat and light but we use only the light, the heat energy is still left unused, the industries should use it. The solar revolution will only come with the revolution in storage and that’s the day we are waiting for.” Said Mr “Mr Upendra Tripathy” Interim Director General of Solar Alliance.

The Global Excellence Awards 2019 for the Renewable Energy Sector was also organised simultaneously to give an honour of respect to the dignitaries working for the Renewable energy sector. The awardees were Mr. Arun Firodia (Chairman, Kinetic group), Prof Colin Coulson Thomas (President, Institute of Management Services, UK), Mr. Tim Carlson( Executive Director, International Partnership for Hydrogen And Fuel Cells in the Economy, Belgium), Dr Ashwini Kumar ( Senior Fellow & Senior Director, Renewable Energy Technologies Division, The Energy And Resources Institute). Mr. Dennis Abraham (M.D., Josab India).
