The government of India is monitoring the funds being spent by the state government under the Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) for J&K.
After Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the PMDP of Rs 80,000 crore in 2015, this is for the first time that the government of India has deputed any central team for inspection of the projects being constructed by the state government.
An official told Greater Kashmir that a team of NITI Aayog officials last week conducted physical verification of the projects being built under the PMDP in Srinagar and Jammu districts. Read More…
