The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Ltd has tendered two grid-connected large-scale utility solar PV power projects, to be installed in different states of India.
750 MW Andhra Pradesh tender
The company has invited bids for three 250 MW PV power plants to be installed in the Ananthapuramu Ultra Mega Solar Park, in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Prospective developers may bid for a single, or all three projects.
Bid submissions are due on April 12, 2018.
2,000 MW ISTS tender
NTPC has also invited bids for 2 GW worth of interstate transmission system (ISTS) PV power projects, which canbe installed anywhere in India. This is the third ISTS tender this year, after SECI’s 2 GW and 3 GW tenders.
Similar to the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) 2 GW ISTS tender, all projects will be installed on a “Build Own Operate (BOO)” basis. BOO is a project model in which a private entity receives a concession from the private or public sector, or government to finance, design, construct, own, and operate a solar facility. Read More
