Power consumers in the state will soon have a one-stop destination for a whole range of services, including applying for new connections, increasing load, paying bills, transferring ownership, and lodging enquiries and complaints related to all electricity supply companies (Escoms ) in the state.
Bescom (Bangalore Electricity Supply Company) is currently in talks with Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIITB) to revamp the IT infrastructure and develop an integrated platform.
With all Escoms on a single platform, customers can expect a more streamlined delivery of services, especially with regard to transfer of ownership, new connections and conversion of services. The power utility will soon sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the institute. Read more
