8 MMSCMD capacity Sonamura Gas Collecting Station (GCS) has been flagged off yesterday to accomplish the commitments of NEEPCo Monarchak thermal power project.
The ONGC officials here claimed with the establishment of Sonamura GCS, it steps ahead in realizing the Northeast Hydrocarbon vision that targeted to make the region as one of the dominant hydrocarbon hubs of Indian energy profile.
In order to execute the Sonamura GCS and Pipe Line Project strategic decision was taken to split the project in two phases – initial one was to create minimum facilities required to supply gas to the 100 MW NEEPCo Monarchak Power project, which was completed in February 2015 for commissioning of the plant.
