Petrol, diesel prices were hiked for the second straight day on Friday despite a fall in the global crude prices over last few days and rupee’s appreciation against the dollar.
According to data available with Indian Oil Corporation website petrol prices were increased by 16-18 paise per litre across different cities while diesel price rose by 13-14 paise per litre today.After today’s revision, petrol was retailing at Rs 76.76 per litre in the national capital as against Rs 76.59 yesterday.
In Mumbai, petrol price crossed Rs 84 per litre mark to Rs 84.14. In other major cities like Chennai and Kolkata, petrol was priced at Rs 79.67 and Rs 79.42 per litre respectively.
Meanwhile, diesel in Delhi was retailing at Rs 68.43 per litre compared to Rs 68.30 yesterday. In Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata, diesel price today was at Rs 72.61, Rs 72.24 and Rs 70.98 respectively. Read More
