Petrol and diesel prices edged up on Friday across major cities, up by 8 paise and 12-13 paise, respectively. Petrol price in Mumbai stood at Rs 77.44 a litre while diesel was at Rs 70.31 per litre, at par with December 2018 levels.
According to the Indian Oil Corp data, in New Delhi, petrol costs Rs 71.81 per litre and diesel costs Rs 67.12 per litre. In Kolkata and Chennai, petrol stood at Rs 73.90 per litre and Rs 74.57 per litre while diesel stood at Rs 68.91 per litre and Rs 70.93 a litre, respectively.
