The retail prices of petrol were increased by 5-6 paise across four metro cities on Sunday (June 23). In Delhi, petrol prices rose to Rs 69.98 a litre against Rs 69.93 a litre on Saturday while diesel price climbed to Rs 63.84 per litre as compared to Rs 63.78 per litre on Saturday, as per data from Indian Oil Corporation website.
It may be noted that the retail fuel prices in the national capital Delhi are the cheapest among all metros and most state capitals owing to lower taxes. In Noida, petrol is retailing at Rs 69.98 and diesel at Rs 63.32 a litre. Petrol was sold at Rs 70.50 a litre while the price of diesel was Rs 63.42 per litre in Gurugram on Sunday. Read more
