The retail prices of petrol and diesel were increased across major cities of the country on Thursday (June 27). Following today’s rate revision, petrol became dearer by 7 paise a litre while diesel prices went up by 5-6 paise a litre.
In Delhi, petrol prices rose to Rs 70.12 a litre as against Rs 70.05 on Wednesday while diesel price peaked to Rs 63.95 per litre as compared to Rs 63.90 on Wednesday, as per data from Indian Oil Corporation website.
The pump fuel prices in Delhi are the cheapest among all metros and most state capitals due to lower taxes. State-run oil companies kept the retail prices of petrol and diesel static for the second successive day on Wednesday.
