After rising for a day, petrol prices remained stable on Wednesday, while diesel prices were unchanged across major cities. Petrol price in Mumbai stood at Rs 78.40 a litre while diesel was at Rs 69.97 per litre, at par with December 2018 levels.
According to the Indian Oil Corp data, in New Delhi, petrol costs Rs 72.78 per litre and diesel Rs 66.80 per litre. In Kolkata and Chennai, petrol stood at Rs 74.86 per litre and Rs 75.59 per litre while diesel stood at Rs 68.59 per litre and Rs 70.59 a litre, respectively.
