State-run oil marketing companies kept the retail petrol and diesel prices static across major cities of the country on Wednesday (May 15). In national capital Delhi, petrol is being sold for Rs 71.18 per litre while diesel costs Rs 65.86 a litre, no change compared with yesterday’s price.
Worth mentioning here is that the retail prices of petrol and diesel were reduced in the country for the six consecutive days. On Tuesday, Petrol prices in all the metro cities fell by 25-26 paise per litre while diesel became cheaper by 12-13 paise. However, thanks to lower taxes in Delhi, fuel prices are the cheapest in the Capital among all metros and most state capitals.
In Mumbai, people have to pay Rs 76.79 for a litre of petrol while diesel costs Rs 69 per litre, as per data available with Indian Oil Corp website. Read More
