Petrol and diesel prices remain unchanged in major cities across the country on Saturday (July 19). In national capital Delhi, a litre of petrol was retailing at Rs 73.35 while diesel was priced Rs 66.24 per litre, no change compared to Friday’s price, as per data available with Indian Oil Corporation website.
After the daily revision in retail fuel rates, petrol prices went up by 8-12 paise while diesel prices remain unchanged across four metropolitan cities in the country on Thursday. The prices remain stagnant on Friday as well. It may be noted that because of lower taxes in Delhi, petrol and diesel are cheapest in the Capital among all metros and most state capitals.
In economic capital Mumbai, petrol was retailing Rs 78.96 for a litre while diesel was selling at Rs 69.43 per litre. Similarly, in Chennai, petrol and diesel are selling for Rs 76.18 a litre and Rs 69.96 per litre respectively, no change in rates. Read More
