Petrol and diesel prices were increased on Saturday (May 25) for the third consecutive day across four metro cities in the country. After the daily revision in retail fuel prices, petrol prices in all the metro cities raised by 14-15 paise a litre while diesel became costlier by 12-13 paise.
In Delhi, petrol prices rose to Rs 71.53 a litre against Rs 71.39 a litre on Friday while diesel price climbed to Rs 66.57 per litre as compared to Rs 66.45 per litre on Friday, as per data from Indian Oil Corporation website. Worthing mentioning here is that the retail fuel prices in Delhi are the cheapest among all metros and most state capitals due to lower taxes.
In Kolkata, the retail petrol price in Kolkata was raised by 14 paise to Rs 73.60 from Rs 73.46 from recorded on Friday. Diesel prices too have hiked by 12 paise from yesterday’s rate price of Rs 68.21 a litre. Read More
