State-run oil marketing companies on Thursday (June 6) reduced the retail prices of petrol and diesel across four metro cities. Following the daily revision in retail fuel rates, the price of petrol in all the metro cities slashed by 15-17 paise per litre while diesel became cheaper by 34-37 paise per litre.
Petrol prices were lowered in New Delhi by 16 paise to Rs 71.07 a litre on Thursday as against Rs 71.23 on Wednesday. Diesel in the national capital became cheaper by 34 paise to Rs 65.22 a litre as compared with Rs 65.56 yesterday’s price.
Fuel prices were unchanged across all the metro cities on Wednesday. It is worth noting that the fuel prices in Delhi are the cheapest among all metros and most state capitals due to lower taxes. Read More
