After many months of unabated price rise across the country, petrol prices fall below Rs 80 per liter in Delhi today. Fuel prices are on a decline since last two weeks. The fuel prices continued to witness a downfall today on the 12th straight day with petrol prices registering a decline of 30 paise and diesel by 20 paise in Delhi.
Petrol is selling at Rs 79.75 per liter and diesel at Rs 73.85 in Delhi on Monday. In Mumbai, petrol is now being sold at Rs 85.24 per litre, 30 paise lower than Sunday’s price and diesel at Rs 77.40 per litre, lower by 21 paise.
After today’s 12 consecutive cut, petrol price is now Rs 3.08 per litre cheaper in comparison to its peak 82.83 per litre on October 16. Diesel is also down by Rs 1.84 a litre from its peak of Rs 75.69 per litre.
The prices are off their record high of Rs 84 per litre for petrol and Rs 75.45 a litre for diesel touched on October 4. Read More
