The fuel prices saw yet another drop on Thursday, a day after Diwali. The petrol witnessed a decrease of 0.21 paisa and 0.20 paisa in Delhi and Mumbai, respectively. While, diesel price accounted a cut of 0.18 paisa and 0.19 paisa in both the cities. (Check the live Petrol And Diesel Price Here)
Following the rate cut, petrol and diesel are being sold at Rs 78.21 per litre and Rs 72.89 per litre, in Delhi and at Rs 83.72 per litre and Rs 76.38 per litre in Mumbai. Fuel prices had earlier witnessed a relentless hike in the country, burning a hole in the common commuter s pocket.
Earlier on Tuesday, the petrol price in Delhi and Mumbai witnessed a decrease of Rs 0.14 to cost Rs 78.42 per litre and 83.92 per litre, respectively. On the other hand, diesel was being sold at Rs 73.07 per litre in the national capital and at Rs 76.57 per litre in the maximum city.
Recently, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had said that crude prices were not under the control of the Indian government and were determined by international forces. Oil prices are beyond the control of the Indian Government. It is an international commodity. We promised to the people of this country that we will not push our country into indebtedness.
