State-run oil marketing companies on Friday (February 8) left prices of petrol unchanged for the third consecutive day, while diesel prices fell by 10-11 paise across major cities in the country.
In the National capital Delhi, petrol price is stagnant at Rs 72.24 and diesel is priced at Rs 67.54 a litre as compared to Rs 67.64 on Thursday, according to data from Indian Oil Corporation website.
It is worth noting that retail fuel prices in Delhi are the cheapest among all metros and most state capitals due to lower taxes.
In Kolkata, petrol is retailing at Rs 74.33 while diesel costs Rs 69.33 a litre, 10 paise dip from yesterday’s price. Citizens in Mumbai have to pay Rs 77.87 for a litre of petrol while diesel is sold at Rs 70.76 per litre. Read More
