State-run oil marketing companies on Monday (March 25) kept prices of petrol stagnant, while diesel prices fell by 11-12 paise across four major cities in the country. In Delhi, petrol price is stable at Rs 72.86 and diesel is priced at Rs 66.49 a litre as compared with Rs 66.60 a litre on Sunday, as per data from Indian Oil Corporation website.
It may be noted that retail fuel prices in Delhi are the cheapest among all metros and most state capitals due to lower taxes. In Chennai, petrol is retailing at Rs 75.67 a litre while diesel costs Rs 70.26 a litre, 11 paise decrease from yesterday’s price.
