Oil Industry J&K has stated that the target of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) for distributing five crore LPG connections to women of BPL families by March 2019 has been achieved 8 months ahead as the distribution has crossed 5 crore mark by August ’18.
In a press conference here today State Level Coordinator, Oil Industry J&K, Rajiv Yadav said for this PMUY a budgetary provision of Rs.12,800 crore was provided for releasing 5 Crores LPG connections and additional 3 Crore LPG connections by March 2020.
