The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on Wednesday snapped the power connections of 57 industrial units in Derabassi following the orders of the National Green Tribunal (NGT).
Punjab Pollution Control Board executive engineer Kuldeep Singh said the action has been taken in compliance of the orders of the NGT. He said, “We are preparing the affidavits to be submitted to NGT during the next hearing slated for Friday.
The affidavits mentioning that the compliance of the NGT orders has been completed after temporary disconnection of the power of 57 units mentioned in the orders. The further action will be taken after fresh orders from the NGT.”
The tribunal had issued directions to Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB) for the compliance of the orders and submit the action taken report with the tribunal within a week, he said Read More
