Around 50 owners of industrial units functioning in the Bicholim industrial estate area on Monday met power minister Nilesh Cabral with grievances of power outages.
They brought to his notice issues that have been affecting their business which has been affected over the last six months. The delegation brought to the notice of the minister to replace old and outdated poles, cables, machinery and also to clear the bushes and tree branches surrounding electricity cables.
Unit owners also said that they have invested an amount in crores in their business besides regular payment of all sorts of taxes and hence power outages has spoiled their business. Cabral assured them that he would look into their grievances. Read More
