State power minister Gurpeet Singh Kangar will be in city on Thursday to hold a meeting with city businessmen and listen to their problems they are facing from Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL). Several senior officials of PSPCL too will be remain present in this meeting.
According to businessmen, the biggest issue which will come up in the meeting is the high power tariff being charged on medium supply (MS) meters.
Kulwant Singh, president of Chamber of Industrial and Trading Entrepreneurs, said, “Power minister has confirmed us about his visit and also ordered the top brass of PSPCL to be present in the meeting so that our problems can be resolved on the spot.
Though there are several points which we intend to discuss with the minister, the major issue is the high rate of power being charged from MS meters installed in large number of factories. Read More
