Raj Kumar Singh on Tuesday took over as new Union Minister of State (IC) in Ministries of Power & New & Renewable Energy here today.
Piyush Goyal, New Railways Minister & former Power Minister was present to hand over the charge to Singh.
Speaking to media after assuming his office, Singh said that there is lot of dynamism in both the Power & Renewable Energy Ministries which will be continued.
Singh said, that he would meet all standards of performance set by the his predecessor and new Railway Minister Piyush Goyal in the Ministries of Power and Renewable energy.
Stating that the country is now energy surplus and that the vision of the Ministries has been defined by his predecessor, Singhassured Goyal that the good work started by him will be completed and the Prime Minister’s vision will be realised.
Speaking on the occasion, Goyal said he has inherited the finest team of officers in the Government of India and PSUs
Talking about Singh, Goyal said that he is confident that under Singh’s leadership now, the power & New Renewable Energy Ministries will achieve new benchmarks of performance and targets.
