The Government of India under Land Acquisition Act 20-E and Railway Act 1989 section 20-F will hold a hearing on claims and objections of the affected persons. As per details, the Dongargarh-Katghora railway track will cover a distance of 295 km and the project requires 1794 hectares of land.
Estimated cost of the project is Rs. 5950.47 crore. It will be implemented by a project SPV namely Chhattisgarh Katghora-Dongargarh Railway Limited with equity participation of Ministry of Railways and Government of Chhattisgarh through Chhattisgarh Railway Corporation Ltd (CRCL) and private stakeholders.
Notably, the Chhattisgarh Railway Corporation Ltd is the joint venture company established by the Chhattisgarh government, holding 51 per cent equity, and Railway Ministry, holding 49 per cent equity. Read More
