Train service has been resumed on Monday after remaining suspended on Sunday for security reason in the Kashmir valley, where separatists had called for a general strike in protest against the alleged human rights violation by security forces. We have resumed train service in the Kashmir valley today, a railway official told UNI. He said train will run from Srinagar-Badgam in the central Kashmir to Baramulla in north as per schedule on Monday.
Similarly, the trains will also chug on Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region, he added. Generally Monday witness heavy rush of passengers, particularly in the morning when people have to resume their duties and business after Sunday, he said adding similarly afternoon trains on Saturday also witness heavy rush when people are going to their homes.
