Union Railway Minister, Suresh Prabhu, during his short visit to the city, stayed for a short while at Jabalpur station, on Thursday before leaving for Bandhavgarh National Park, Umaria. He was accorded a rousing welcome by the West Central Railway (WCR) General Manager, Girish Pillai and other senior officials present on the occasion.
While interacting with mediapersons, Union Railway Minister, Suresh Prabhu said “We have started various mega projects in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, giving impetus to the overall development of the region. He said, to speed up the implementation of pending projects in Madhya Pradesh, the Union Railway Ministry along with Madhya Pradesh Government will enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that would look after the projects in joint association. In this, a major project of the Jabalpur-Indore new line along with other projects would be taken up in this new venture of Railways and State Government. Read More…
