A multi-pronged strategy has been evolved to improve the cleanliness ranking of Ludhiana railway station before the commencement of the audit of railway stations in the region.
Northern Railway general manager TP Singh said this on Monday, adding that Ludhiana railway station was set to be included in model railway stations of the country and each of the railway employees would have to make contribution in achieving this objective.
Singh was here for a brief period in the morning, while on his way from New Delhi to Ferozepur. In the course of inspection of the railway station, he visited platform number 1 and checked cleanliness and sanitation.
He also interacted with the staff at the booking counter, parcel office, waiting area and inspected some of the food outlets. Singh went around toilets and checked the drinking water facility at the platforms. Read More
