The Chennai division of Southern Railway is considering stopping suburban train services from Chennai Central to Pattabiram Millitary Siding (PTMS).
Feedback on this proposal was collected from members of the Divisional Rail Users Consultative Committee (DRUCC) on Wednesday during the lunch break after a three-hour meeting. Divisional railway manager Naveen Gulati said members were unanimous in their approval for stoppage of services in light of safety issues due to cross movement of trains in that location.
