The Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation (GMC) on Sunday initiated work for repairing, restructuring and resurfacing different roads. The project is estimated to cost more than Rs100 crore.
The project will include nearly 100 roads of different widths, including 11 major roads in DLF, Shalimar Garden, Janakpuri, Ardhana, Vaishali and Kaushambi. Corporation officials said the work on different roads, including the interior roads, may take some three-four months to complete.
“Repair work on some smaller roads may get completed earlier; it may take longer to repair the bigger, arterial roads that handle more traffic. The repair works will include patchwork and resurfacing. There are some road patches where the surface has crumbled completely, these will be our top priority,” Ghaziabad municipal commissioner CP Singh said. Read More…
