Kolkata-based Shrachi-subsidiary BTL EPC Ltd, an engineering procurement construction, has recently bagged a Rs 228 crore turnkey order from Bangladesh India Friendship Power Company Ltd (BIFPCL).
The project comprises of design, engineering, manufacturing supply, erection and commissioning, handing over as well as operation and maintenance of a complete conveyor package for 2 X 660 MW power plant for BIFPCL in Bangladesh.
Maitree Super Thermal Power Project is a coal-fired power station at Rampal Upazila of Bagerhat District at Khulna in Bangladesh. It is a 50:50 joint venture between India’s NTPC and Bangladesh’s Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB). BTL EPC with this 14 km long conveyor package is all set to foray the foreign soil.
