Mass-transit operator Metro Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad (MEGA) has awarded a contract worth roughly €76.04m to the consortium of Siemens India and Siemens Germany for electrification works along the 39.2km Metro Express Link in Ahmedabad in the Indian state of Gujarat.
Siemens is set to electrify the new double-track metro line under the arrangement.
The company has also agreed to provide a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for monitoring and controlling the traction power. Read More…
