After the successful trial run of the new-age machines, Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration (Lesa) would install smart meters outside houses in its Uptron, Thakurganj and Chinhat divisions.
These smart meters are being installed in areas reporting high line losses and will help in regulating and monitoring electricity consumption in households.
The new-age meters will be installed in a phase-wise manner and the three divisions are being covered in the inaugural phase of the exercise. In the second phase, localities under Rahimnagar division, Chowk and Kanpur Road will be covered.
The machines will be set up in Uptron division, which has areas like Campbell Road and Saadatganj under its jurisdiction. Read More
