Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Wednesday said that solar energy was considered to be the best option for meeting energy requirements of modern day life as it belongs to the renewable category.
“With the disappearance of fossil fuels from the planet and their rising costs has forced countries to switch over to a sustainable energy source,” the Governor said after inaugurating a 30-KW grid interactive solar power plant under Renewable Energy Project at Raj Bhawan in Guwahati.
Solar energy is the only alternative energy as Sun is the biggest energy supplier and is fully capable of meeting the energy needs of earth in the distant future, he said. Read More…
