Solar Power To Light Up Tatanagar

Tatanagar is set to become a green station.

The A1-category railway station under Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway (SER), has set up solar panels worth over Rs 50 lakh to light up the five platforms, offices, waiting hall, retiring rooms and dormitories.

Sources said a Gurgaon-based Renew Solar Energy Private Limited, which was entrusted with the job of making the station solar-powered earlier this year, has completed the installation of panels of 350 kilowatt on the roofs of the main station building and the platform sheds. Read More
