India’s power sector is at an interesting crossroads. Perhaps for the first time in the history of any nation, the country is moving towards meeting the electricity aspirations of its population through an ambitious renewable energy expansion.
Renewable energy prices at the point of purchase are among the lowest in any country and in most cases cheaper than electricity from new thermal power plants. This makes electricity from renewable energy the first choice when it comes to pure numbers.
