Vinod Kumar Yadav, general manager, South Central Railway (SCR) participated in ‘Shramdaan’ programme as part of the observance of nationwide ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ drive. The event was held at Malkajgiri railway station of Hyderabad division on Sunday.
Arun Kumar Jain, divisional railway manager, Hyderabad division and other divisional officials also participated in the programme. Several volunteers of ‘Scouts and Guides’, college students, members of ‘Suburban Train Travellers Association’, senior citizens, Lions Club and ‘Malkajgiri Residents Welfare Association’ also partook in Shramdaan programme along with the general manager.
Yadav checked modern equipment being put in use for clearance of weeds and upkeep of station circulating area and various methods used in the cleanliness of station platforms and premises. He also undertook a thorough inspection of station manager’s office and perused various safety registers maintained and stipulated procedures to be followed. Read More…
