New feathers in crown as Metro reaches out
While the Hyderabad Metro Railwas flagged off in November 2017, the services were further expanded this year by adding more connectivity and gaining patronage.
After the launch of its services on the Ameerpet-LB Nagar route on September 24 this year, commuting has become a lot easier for many passengers in the city. With 46km of Metro operations, the Hyderabad Metro Rail is now the second largest Metro service in the country after Delhi Metro Rail. This year, the L & T HMRL started running a train every six minutes on the Miyapur-LB Nagar route and a train is being operated every seven minutes on the route during non-peak hours.
Hyderabad Metro Rail crossed 30 million cumulative ridership milestones in just 351 days after the commercial operations were launched in the city. The ridership increased this year from 20 million to 30 million in just 71 days. Read More
