Substations to boost power supply in Jamshedpur

Over 3 lakh people residing in non-Tata command areas and served by Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam (JBVNL) can expect relief from frequent power cuts, breakdowns and problem of low voltage by April next year.

JBVNL, the supply wing of power conglomerate Jharkhand Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (JUVNL), is coming up with new power substations at various locations serviced by it, including Mango, Jugsalai, Sonari, Kadma and Sundernagar, on the outskirts of the city.

This will not only improve power supply but would also reduce outages, voltage fluctuations and help in quick detection and repairing of faults. Read More
