Centre pays Gujarat, Assam Rs 22,000 crore royalty to bail out ONGC, OIL

The government has bailed out state-owned oil producers Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) and Oil India from a potential liability of about Rs 22,000 crore in royalty dues to states like Gujarat and Assam.

Gas exploration to continue despite tough pricing scenario: ONGC

Dinesh K Sarraf, Chairman of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), said on Thursday that while the state-run firm would continue to invest in gas exploration, it was getting increasingly difficult owing to the “tough” pricing scenario.
