Train passengers will soon be able to know the food items they can get on trains along with their rates, thanks to the ‘Menu on Rails’ app developed by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).
IRCTC or Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation is offering a seven-day tour at Rs. 35,165 to select destinations in the southern part of the country. This was said by IRCTC, the ticketing arm of Indian Railways, on microblogging site Twitter.
The Indian Railways have, from time-to-time, introduced various facilities for senior citizens. Right from concession on ticket fare to reserved seats, the railways has taken care of elderly in a systematic manner.
Indian Railways and IRCTC operate several luxury trains in India- namely Maharajas’ Express, Palace on Wheels, The Deccan Odyssey and Royal Rajasthan on Wheels. These luxury trains give passengers an experience of grand royalty while they explore the rich cultural heritage of India.
