Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has signed an agreement with the Government of India to provide loan assistance of 8,082 million Japanese Yen (approximately Rs 500 crore) for installation of intelligent transport systems in the city.
A three-tier system will monitor the Ahmedabad-Mumbai bullet train project, the deadline for which has been pushed forward by a year to 2022.
