The Union Cabinet recently approved India’s first Regional Rapid Rail Transit (RRTS) between Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut with Metro in Meerut. This 82 Km stretch will be covered in less than 60 minutes by highspeed, high-frequency, safe, reliable, comfortable and green public transit.
Awaiting clearance from the Delhi government, the high-speed Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS), will cut the travel time between Delhi and Meerut by around 60 minutes, reports the Times of India. Yes, that’s right, 82 km will be covered in just an hour.
