The National Green Tribunal has pulled up the Railways for failing to submit information about the capacity of the Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Tughlakabad in the city where a chemical spill took place recently.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Thursday recommended a slew of measures to clean up the Ganges, including a fine of Rs 50,000 for dumping waste in the Haridwar-Unnao stretch of the river, ANI reported.
The Telangana government has prohibited open burning of waste on lands with immediate effect and also imposed a fine for violation of the ban.
The ban on 10-year-old diesel vehicles in Delhi-NCR should be removed as they were not major contributors to air pollution.
