Union highways minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday claimed that the NDA government was constructing 23km of national highways every day against an average of barely 2km during the UPA regime
Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari laid foundation stone of four state highway projects here.
In a review of NHAI projects on Tuesday, Gadkari said that while a record 16,271 km of National Highways have been awarded and 8231 km constructed during the year 2016-17, work needs to be done at a much faster pace to award more projects and construct those that have been awarded.
