Train services in South Eastern Railway’s (SER) Kharagpur division were affected since 6 am Monday owing to blockade by an umbrella organisation of the adivasis demanding recognition of their language, an SER spokesman said.

Security personnel of South Eastern Railway has provided security related assistance to the travelling passengers by way of All India Security Help Line, escorting of ladies compartment, surveillance through CCTV cameras, escorting of reserved coaches in Mail/Express trains during night journeys, surprise security checks both at stations and in running trains etc.
