Tata Power Delhi Distribution on Monday said it will roll out 2.5 Lakh smart meters in the first phase of the project in its licensed area of 510 sq km in North and North-West Delhi.
The implementation of the communication system and smart meter roll out will begin from March 2018 and will get completed by March 2019, the company said in a statement.
The second phase starting from April 2019 will have 5 lakh single phase meters and 50,000 three phase meters.
The total replacement and completion of 18 Lakh smart meters will be completed by 2025, it said. Read more
