Telangana Minority Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar on Wednesday requested Union Minister of state for Renewable Energy Raj Kumar Singh to provide Rs 30 crores from NTPC under Corporate Social Responsibility for development of basic amenities in Zilla Parishad High schools at Dharmapurai Assembly segment in the state.
Eshwar, who met the Union Minister at New Delhi, said that the industrial organization has been earmarking and spending substantial funds towards social cause forming part of CSR, which include social, economic, educational and spiritual programmes for the benefit of public at large.
The Telangana minister also mentioned that the President of India in his address at the National CSR Award ceremony held in last month, requested to contribute more CSR funds on Welfare activities. Read More
