Telecom industry players are optimistic on the implementation of a proposal that would allow them to expand mobile connectivity by using the vastly spread electricity transmission towers in the far-flung areas of India.
Unreliable power supply, high maintenance cost, and difficulty in land availability currently spoil the business case for installing telecom towers in the remotely located rural areas of the country.
