Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister P Thangamani has said that more than 6,000 MW of thermal projects are expected to go on stream from 2020-21.
Thangamani met Union Coal Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday and sought fuel allocation for the thermal projects in the State that are expected to go on stream in the next two years, according to an official release.
The minister, along with officials of the State Power Department, submitted a memorandum seeking coal for six projects with a total capacity of about 6,360 MW that are getting ready for generation from 2020-21. Read more
